Tours
Under our former musical director, Jeffrey Gray, around 30 or so of Cranbrook Choral members have enjoyed 3 continental tours.
Information about Tours
In 2016 we went to Belgium, the highlight of which was singing at the Menin Gate on the Saturday evening after a day looking round Ypres and the Tyne Cot First World War cemetery. Truly memorable for us all. We also performed in Ghent and Bruges.
In 2018 the choir travelled to Holland with concerts in beautiful churches in Amsterdam and Delft and the old coastal town of Monnickendam.
With a couple of years break from touring and singing generally due to the Covid pandemic, 2023 found us touring to Normandy. We enjoyed visiting many of the second World War sites, especially the newly built museum at Arromanches and the Bayeux Tapestry. Our three concerts on this trip were at Alencon, Argentan and Fougeres.
